Nerina Dunt
Since completing my Master of Arts (Studies in Art History) in 2005, I have curated two exhibitions. In 2006 I co-curated Urban Aboriginal Artists of NSW: Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Cooperative at Art Images Gallery for the Adelaide Fringe. In 2007 I curated, with Adelaide artist and lecturer Nici Cumpston, the exhibition Indigenous Responses to Colonialism: Another Story at Artspace, Adelaide Festival Centre. In conjunction with this exhibition I coordinated the forum Colonialism: Resistance and Persistence in Urban Indigenous Art with an esteemed panel including Gordon Hookey, Dr Irene Watson, Jared Thomas, Yhonnie Scarce and chaired by Dr Christine Nicholls.
I have recently tutored in the Art History program at the University of Adelaide in the subject Studies in Indigenous Art. I have also tutored at the University of South Australia in the subject Indigenous Arts, Cultures and Design. I regularly contribute to Adelaide’s dB Magazine as an arts writer/reviewer, whereby I am committed to including Indigenous content.
