Level I (First Year)

All new students should take Level I courses in their first year. First year courses have a catalogue number beginning with '1', e.g. ENGL 1001.

The maximum number of Level I courses that can count towards any program is eight (24 units). This may be less if you have been awarded credit for previous study. Level I courses offered in Summer or Winter School will be listed on our Summer & Winter page.
