Classics really appealed to me, I enjoyed it and was good at it. Knowing your own history and understanding your beginnings gives you a different perspective on the world.

The content is wide ranging and staff make it impossible to lose interest. After first year I received an invitation to do honours in Classics, which I am currently studying. Classics change the offered courses from year to year to ensure that a maximum selection is possible over the course of a degree.

My advice to students is to be as active as possible, explore anything that interests you and don't be afraid to follow your own inclinations.
