Bachelor of Media - Graduated 2004

I decided to study the Bachelor of Media because of the practical hands-on approach, and the excellent range of courses.  I got a job with The Adelaide Review, first as Media Coordinator and then in August 2006, I changed roles to that of Advertising Executive. I am now Senior Advertising Executive (where I am the youngest by ten years!).

I now look after a client database of around 400 clients and work closely with our production team.  Learning about the structure of media organisations and media theory in my degree has helped me understand a lot about my current workplace. The organisation skills I learnt help me multitask and plan my time appropriately.  The public relations section of my degree has definitely given me a great base to build skills upon in my role in Advertising. I believe my degree has given me the ability to approach various roles associated with the media industry.
