Research undertaken by the Faculty is independently ranked by the Excellence in Research Initiative for Australia (ERA), as at, above, or well above world standard in performing arts and creative writing, demography, philosophy, anthropology, human geography, political science and historical studies. The ERA is designed to assess research quality using a combination of metrics and expert review by committees comprising experienced, internationally-recognised experts.
We also actively build research strengths in a number of areas and through a number or means including through support for applications for nationally competitive research fellowships and grants, through internal funding schemes promoting a research-active approach, and through Research Centres that support critical mass, international networks and collaborations.
The University of Adelaide is a leading research University committed to providing unique opportunities for graduates and researchers, who are recognised as worldwide leaders for their vision and capacity to address global research challenges. Our researcher community is supported by the University’s Researcher Education and Development Unit, to develop the skills and knowledge needed for research excellence.”
