The M Rees George Memorial Prize

Whereas the sum of $400 has been paid to the University by the South Australian Branch of the League of the Empire and the Old Scholars of the Advanced School for Girls for the purpose of establishing a prize in French in memory of the late Miss Madeline Rees George, the following rules are made:

There shall be two prizes, each called “The M Rees George Memorial Prize,” available for award annually.
The value of each prize shall be $150, unless otherwise determined by the Faculty.
One prize shall be awarded to the student who has shown the highest academic merit in French IIA and one prize shall be awarded to the student who has shown the highest academic merit in French IIIA, provided that the candidates are of sufficient merit.
These rules may be changed from time to time, but the title and general purpose of the prize shall not be changed.
