Projects

The three main focusses of ANTS' work are National CurriculumSociety & Governance and facilitating scholarship and mentoring relationships through our Study Leave Scheme.  ANTS has also established an online community for those working in the field of Native Title.

In 2012 ANTS will be undertaking the following projects:

  • hosting a study leave program designed to enable native title anthropologists, at a variety of career stages, to have short-term academic appointments at ANTS
  • create and host a virtual hub for native title anthropologists and professionals, as an accessible national resource for professional communication, research and publication, and training & professional development;
  • host high-level workshops to examine questions of society and governance in native title and to refine approaches to research and analysis which better serve indigenous futures;
  • host a meeting of course convenors from around Australia to discuss prospects for a national curriculum in native title anthropology; and
  • develop curricula in native title anthropology.
