2012 Degree Plans
These degree plans provide the study pathways for students commencing in 2012.
Students who commenced prior to 2012 should refer to the 2011 or 2010 degree plans.
All students are expected to make themselves familar with the degree plan and rules of their program, published in the University Calendar. Students can check their progress by contacting the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Office.
New Majors in the Bachelor of Arts
From 2012, students studying a Bachelor of Arts may complete a second major, or a minor, in:
- Economics
- International Business,
- Management, or
- Marketing
A major in one of these disciplines must be in addition to a first Humanities and Social Sciences major. Courses in these disciplines do not count as Humanities and Social Sciences and can therefore only be studied as a major or minor (as indicated in the study plans below) or in the free choice elective space of your degree, e.g. "Level I course chosen from H&SS or another Faculty". New Major in the Bachelor of Media
From 2012, students studying a Bachelor of Media may complete a major in Marketing. Courses in Marketing do not count as Humanities and Social Sciences courses and can only be studied as a major (as outlined in the study plan below) or in the free choice elective space of your degree, e.g. "Level I course chosen from H&SS or another Faculty".
