Information for Prodigal Students

If you have studied at the university previously and have been away for a while, this information is relevant to you.

Please check the opening dates of enrolment for you program.

To see what courses you need to enrol in, look at the structure of your program. Some programs allow you to choose electives. It is your responsibility to ensure that the electives you choose will be counted towards your program of study. To find detailed information on courses, visit the University Course Planner where you can begin to plan your timetable. If you are not sure if a course will count toward your program, contact the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences office.

Once you are sure you have made the correct choices for your program, you can proceed to enrol.

Enrolment is on the university's online enrolment system Access Adelaide. To enrol online you will need a student identification number (username) and password.

• If you currently have a 7-digit numerical student ID (eg 1944155), your username is this number preceded by a lower case 'a'.
• If you have an older 7-character ID (e.g. 872348F), you will need to obtain a new student ID number from the student centre.
  A new student ID and/or your password can be obtained from the Student Centreby doing one of the following:

Visit the Student Centre on North Terrace
Your Access Adelaide Username and Password will be given to you once you show photo ID, e.g. drivers licence.

• The Student Centre will post your Password to the address you have provided to the University, once you have:
  
  • Identified yourself as a student of the University who has been absent from study, and is looking to recommence study
  • Provided your full name, and, if possible, your previous student number/id
  • Indicated which academic program you were enrolled in
    

Note: your Password cannot be provided to you over the phone.
