• Introduction to International Politics (3 units)
• Introduction to Comparative Politics (3 units)
• Globalisation, Justice and a Crowded Planet (3 units)
• Sustaining a Fragile Planet (3 units)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies courses (3 units each)
• Two courses from:
  • Asia and the World (3 units)
  • Europe, Empire and the World (3 units)
  • The 20th Century: A World in Turmoil (3 units)

Level Two

• Post Cold War International Relations (4 units)
• Comparative Politics (4 units)
• International Studies core (4 units)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies courses (4 units each)
• Environmental Management (4 units)

From 2008 Environmental Management can be replaced with one of the following:

• GEST 2020 Urban Futures: Environmental and Social Issues (sem 1)
• GEST 2011 Biogeography and Diversity Conservation (sem 2)

Level Three

• 2 x International Studies courses (6 units each)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies courses (6 units each)

Level Four

• 2 x Study Abroad or International Studies courses (6 units each)
• 2 x Environmental Studies Internship or Geographical and Environmental studies courses (6 units each)
