• Sustaining a Fragile Planet (3 units)
• Globalisation, Justice and a Crowded Planet (3 units)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies electives (3 units each)
• 1 x Humanities and Social Sciences or other Faculty course (3 units)

Level Two

• Media Research Methods (4 units)
• MDIA 2207 Global Media: Policies and Practices (4 units)
• Media Policy and Media Law (4 units)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies electives (4 units each)
• Environmental Management (4 units)

Please note: From 2008 Environmental Management can be replaced with one of the following:

• GEST 2020 Urban Futures: Environmental and Social Issues (sem 1)
• GEST 2011 Biogeography and Diversity Conservation (sem 2)

Level Three

• Media Theory (6 units)
• Professional Practice (6 units)
• 2 x Geographical and Environmental Studies electives (6 units each)

Level Four

• Environmental Studies Internship or Geographical and Environmental Studies elective (6 units)
