Level II, Level III and Advanced Level

Upper level courses in Humanities and Social Sciences are divided into Level II, Level III, and Advanced Level courses.

Many courses are Advanced Level, beginning with a "2", e.g. ENGL 2036, and these fit in both Year 2 and Year 3 of your degree.

Areas of study (disciplines) that still have a distinct Level II and III (Languages, Psychology, Media, and courses offered by other Faculties) begin with either "2" = Level II, or "3" = Level III.  These courses fit within Level II or Level III of your degree respectively.

Prerequisites

The prerequisite for most Advanced Level courses is satisfactory completion of at least 4 courses (12 units) at Level I.  Some courses may also have additional prerequisites, as outlined in Course Planner
